I’m Malasia Johnson, a Georgia-based photographer specializing in visual storytelling for destinations, hospitality brands, and tourism-focused businesses.
After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography in 2019, I discovered that I was drawn to more than creating beautiful images, I wanted to capture the feeling of a place. Whether it’s a boutique hotel welcoming guests, a local café filled with conversation, or a scenic destination inviting exploration, I’m passionate about creating photographs that encourage people to experience a place for themselves.
I believe the strongest images are authentic. Rather than relying on heavily staged moments, I focus on genuine experiences, thoughtful composition, and the unique details that give every destination and brand its personality. My goal is to create imagery that feels inviting, memorable, and true to the people and places behind it.
While photography is my creative foundation, I also approach every project with a marketing mindset. Great visuals don’t just look good—they communicate a brand’s story, strengthen its identity, and inspire action.
